Florence Copper Community Foundation Awards $1500 in Grants to Arizona Community Theatre and Florence High School

On April 19, 2018 the Florence Copper Community Foundation awarded a $1000 grant to Arizona Community Theatre and a $500 grant to Florence High School for its Graduation Night Lock In.

The Arizona Community Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Coolidge, Arizona. Its mission is to provide programs for community members of all ages to explore both production and performance aspects of theatrical performing arts. The grant will assist Arizona Theatre with upcoming production costs for theatrical performances including “Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery.”

Florence High School’s Graduation Night Lock In provides a safe, fun place for high school seniors to enjoy graduation night free from drugs and alcohol. The grant funding will be used for events and activities throughout the evening.

Florence Copper created its foundation to provide resources to nonprofits businesses and initiatives that effectively address community needs. The Florence Copper Community Foundation is committed to making a valuable contribution to the community of Florence and greater Pinal County through charitable donations, community project support, and sponsorships.

To date over $41,000 has been awarded through the Florence Copper Foundation, including recipients such as Honoring/Hiring/Helping Our Heroes of Pinal County, the Florence Food Bank, the Copper Basin YMCA and the Future Forward Foundation.
