Through sponsorships, charitable giving, community investment and partnerships, Taseko supports initiatives that help people and communities prosper. Taseko’s Beyond Potential Corporate Giving Program focuses on health and wellness, education, and other community programs that support youth, families, and the communities near our operations.
Mission Possible
Based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Mission Possible is a non-profit organization that provides employment transition services such as training, education and work experience to individuals who are typically excluded from the traditional workforce — like those facing homelessness, poverty and other barriers to employment.
Through its ‘Employee Readiness Program’, Mission Possible helps people motivated to break the cycle of poverty bridge to long-term jobs and lasting change. Taseko is currently funding two Mission Possible associates as they embark on their journey through the 12 week Employee Readiness Program.
In addition, as partner of Mission Possible, Taseko proudly supports Mission Possible in their fundraising efforts and recently donated $10,000 for the purchase of their very first electric pickup truck
Foundry Cariboo Chilcotin
Located in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Foundry Cariboo Chilcotin is a non profit organization that provides instrumental support to help youth work through tough times and find a path to wellness by providing peer resources, counseling, tools and other services.
Taseko and Gibraltar are proud community partners of Foundry Cariboo Chilcotin, providing a combined donation of $25,000 to help the organization deliver much-needed services to the youth of the Cariboo.
MineralsEd
MineralsEd is an educational organization operating in British Columbia that is dedicated to encouraging and supporting Earth science, mineral resources and mining education in schools.
As a teacher-industry partnership program, the organization’s main roles are to support teachers in their development of classroom materials related to minerals, mining and geoscience, and to deliver workshops, field trips and other mineral-relevant learning opportunities for teachers and students.
Taseko is pleased to be a partner in the organization’s Mining and Mineral Exploration Career Spotlight program, offering secondary students in British Columbia an opportunity to gain insight into career paths in the Province’s mining and metals industries.
Taseko believes that work that MineralsEd is doing to inspire youth and educate teachers about the potential and opportunity that a career in mining brings is highly necessary if British Columbia is to achieve its potential as a favoured location for providing the world with the critical minerals and metals it needs to achieve the global energy transition.
In addition, Taseko staff regularly volunteer to support MineralEd in their community and educational initiatives.

Taseko proudly launched the scholarship in Williams Lake in 2023 and awarded two $1,500 scholarships to graduating students from the community’s Lake Lake City Secondary School.
