Read on to learn more about the Foundation’s most recent grants.

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA)

A US$2,000 grant will help cover the costs of transferring animals from Pinal County Animal Care and Control, helping to relieve overcrowding at Pinal County facilities and ensure these animals are given a second chance, rather than being euthanized.

The Good Shepherd Horse Rescue and Learning Center

A US$2,000 contribution will assist with the cost of vet bills for rescued animals.

The Salvation Army of Apache Junction

A US$2,000 grant will go towards the Salvation Army of Apache Junction’s food bank, providing meals for families and individuals in need. Beyond the food bank, the Salvation Army offers a wide range of services for those in need throughout the community. These include utility assistance, snack bags and showers for people experiencing homelessness, camp opportunities, Christmas gifts for children, and more.

Hope Coalition

A US$1,000 grant will help Hope Coalition fund the distribution of fresh produce to citizens and families in need at Florence Elementary and the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center.

Kada’s Promise

The Florence Copper Community Foundation’s US$2,000 contribution will help support the creation of “comfort kits”, which contain a teddy bear and blanket, for children facing trauma. Kada’s Promise kits are distributed by first responders, child advocacy centers, shelters, and foster care agencies in Pinal County.

Active Family Development

From family field days that bring everyone together to youth activities that promote physical health and character growth through resilience, Active Family Development helps create connections that truly last.  The Foundation’s US$2,225 grant will help expand the organization’s reach by offering more opportunities for families to connect and grow together

Nourish and Nurture

A US$1,000 grant will help fund emergency infant care items, including diapers, wipes, and formula, for families facing financial hardship. The grant also will assist in expanding Nourish and Nurture’s reach by offering more support and resources to parents facing challenges.

Taseko and Florence Copper are proud to contribute to programs and organizations providing direct and tangible support to help people thrive.

"At Florence Copper, we believe in strengthening the communities where we live and work,” said Sophie Dessart, President of the Florence Copper Community Foundation. “We are honored to partner with these vital organizations as they continue their work to provide essential services to individuals and families near Florence Copper.”

The Florence Copper Community Foundation team looks forward to continuing to partner with non-profits and community initiatives.
